Use Cases

Alright, so you wandered onto this page to help you ponder on what you should be doing with AI today, that is fair. Here are some different things we are seeing to help get those gears spinning.

Incident Triage

The challenge:

A lot of companies have built a Power Apps app for incident reporting. Whether it is spilt milk in the breakroom to a car accident most companies prioritize reporting and responding to these incidents as appropriate. One challenge we have seen is the prioritization. For most solutions the user checks a box for Low or High, leaving it in their hands. To be honest, a fair amount of them get it wrong. So what do you do?

The Solution:

You build an Autonomous agent using Copilot Studio to review and prioritize the incident. The agent is triggered when a new incident is entered. It then reviews the details, witness statements, and even the photos with the use of AI prompts to determine for itself, do we need to escalate or not. Of course, the decisions criteria and escalation points are all tailored to your business, based on your business rules and knowledge. Get a complete look through of the solution in this video:

Dealing with all of those Teams meetings

So many people find themselves in countless meetings. And while they all would like to say they stay completely focused on the meeting… anyway. We find that Teams meeting recaps and being able to talk Copilot about the meeting is a very powerful use case for M365 Copilot. Remember, you are trying to get someone to have their “WOW” moment that encourages them to explore all that Copilot can do for them.

File to Agent

One of our customers who manages large scale construction projects gets pinged daily with easy questions about the project. While he is happy to answer it distracts him and worse yet, he has already provided all of the answers in a Word document. So he used Agent Builder to turn the file into an agent he can add to Teams.

Now the agent answers all of those questions, freeing him up to do the hard stuff. Agent Builder, SharePoint Agents, or Copilot Studio are all available to help depending on the complexity of the knowledge. Here is a video on the different agent tools and types in the Microsoft ecosystem:

Help Desk Agent

Build a conversational agent to answer questions like “What is our policy on dogs in the office?” or “What are my options for getting a new PC?” is a great first use case of Copilot Studio. Many people we talk to already have all of the documentation with the answers, so spinning up a question to answer is no problem. But remember, these are the chatbots of old. These agents can also do things like retrieve someone’s time off balance or create a support ticket via Tools. Get a look at an IT Help Desk agent with actions I built in this video: Demo of an IT support conversational agent as part of a 29 part series on using Copilot Studio.
